The brief for this project was very open, I had to create a piece of ethical design. I chose sing-use plastics as the direction of my project as I feel lots of interest in this topic and I am an advocate for swapping out single-use products where I can. I chose to design an app called Earth Alerts that worked to encourage users to change single-use plastics for reusable products. The main features of the app were an information section that gave examples of single-use items and reusable products to swap them for. The other main function of the app was to allow the user to set alarms on their phone to remind them to take their reusable items with them when leaving the house. I also created bus shelter posters and pop-up stands to advertise the app.
